Passion

In the world we live in today, it's so easy to just get caught up in living life. Everything is always on a time limit, it's sometimes stressful just trying to get everything done that you have on your to-do list!

It's so easy to lose sight of what is really important. Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Jesus told us not even to worry about our next meal. He said to seek God and His righteousness and ALL these things shall be added unto you. It's hard to grasp!

It seems so hard to trust God when you can't see what's ahead of you. You just want everything to work out without having to step out in faith. But when you get to that point where you trust God with all of your heart, and aren't trusting in your own efforts, not only does the stress leave, but you get the load lifted off your shoulders! God wants us to put all our cares upon Him - Proverbs 3:5 says, "Trust in the Lord with all of thine heart, and lean not on thine own understanding."

Aside from stress and burden-lifting, when you are able to cast your cares before the throne of God and trust in Him to take care of you, you are able to concentrate on what is really important. You have more of a reason to praise His name. You have more time to spend in His presence, and more time to focus on what He is telling you to do. When you do that, you will find yourself becoming not only happier, but stronger in the Lord. God wants us to be strong. Ephesians 6:10 says, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might." God wants us to be strong, and the way to become strong in the Lord is to read His Word and develope a prayer-time every day to speak with Him.

We need to be passionate about our relationship with Jesus. We need to be expectant! We need to have an attitude of expectancy about what God is going to do in us and through us! I have found that every time I have really been touched in a big way by God was when I was expectant about what He was going to do. When I was in that place of excitement and anticipation, believing that God was going to do something mighty, that was when i felt the fire of God come upon me. We all need to be that way all the time!

We need to find ourselves speaking the Word of God without even thinking about it. We need to be stepping out and doing the things God has told us and is telling us to do. Not only will be be fulfilling our purpose in the Lord, but our joy will be full! When you are in God's perfect will, you will have joy!

Why isn't everyone experiencing revival? It's so good, so refreshing, so powerful, who wouldn't want that in their lives? I won't settle for a little bit of God in my life. It's not enough to pray for 10 minutes and move on. It's not enough to read one verse for the day and go on with what you were doing before. We need a move of God! We need a rushing mighty wind filling the temple!

Don't settle for less. Settle for more. Start praying more, reading more, praising more! Be passionate for God! Be expectant of what God is going to do through you!

Philippians 4:19-20, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen."
