Just to be close to You

In this Christmas season, i've noticed alot of people taking their focus off of what is most important, and being sidetracked by things that really aren't as important as they may seem. We must take our focuses off of what we think is important in this life and put our focus on the One who gave us our life to begin with. We must take our focus off of what we're going to wear, what we're going to do, how we're going to do it, and put our focus on the Lord, and His Righteousness! Until we do that, we won't be able to really spend any time with the God we say we love so much. Have you ever tried to have a conversation with someone who was thinking of something else the whole time you were talking to them? A bit frustrating, wasn't it? Especially if you wanted to talk to them about something important. Well, how can we put our full focus on what God wants to say to us when we are so preoccupied with other things? The question is rhetorical. We can't! We must take time away from our problems, put them on the backburner, and fully put our attention on the Lord. Sing Him songs of praise, worship Him in holiness, tell Him how much we love Him and what He has done for us. He wants to be intimate with us. He loves us so much. There's a song of worship I love to sing to Him, and I think that it describes how all of us should be towards God, how in love with Him we should be.

Just to be close to you, Lord, is where I long to be. I'm passionate for you, Lord. I long for you. Let me hide myself inside your heart to find my destiny. My destiny is in You, Lord. Let me be so close to you, Lord, that my actions convey your heart, and your desires. Every step I take is one less step I need to be in your presence and close to thee. I am living a life of worship to you, Jesus. Every step I take is one less step I need to be in your presence, because i'm seeking your face. I'm seeking your presence. I'm wanting more of you. I want to know you more. I want more of your presence. I want to be closer to you than I am now, so i'm taking another step towards you, Lord. I'm going one step further than i've gone before, because I love you.

Express your love for God. Tell someone else how much you love Him. Tell them how much He loves them!

Mark 12:30, "' And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.'"
